The Low Down

Well, here we are in week 13. Four teams have punched their tickets for the postseason, four spots remain and five teams vie for them. What a year it's been and it doesn't look to be letting up just yet. Here are the team capsules for week 13:

VB Playaz (Alex) 8-4 Clinched playoff spot, need a win or more points than Rachael in a loss and a Rachael win to clinch the #1 seed
A great season so far for Alex. Never scoring less than 56 points in a single week. 992 points scored is tied with Rachael for the most points scored this year. Consistent is the definition of this team all year long, never losing two games in a row and six players ranked in the top ten of their position. Alex takes on his Dad and needs a win or more points than Rachael in a loss and a Rachael win to clinch the #1 seed.

Fisher's Flying Dutchmen (Rachael) 7-5 Clinched playoff spot, need a win and an Alex loss and more points than Alex to clinch #1 seed
What more can you ask from an expansion team? Tied with Alex for most points and has been one of the best teams all year long. Rachael also has six players rate in the top ten at their position. She has also overcome Tomlinson not living up to his name this year and essentially wasting her number pick. This week she has to play Tim, this game could determine the #2 seed in the playoffs.

Winslow Waxmen (Tim) 7-5 Clinched playoff spot, need a win and a Katie loss OR a win and not be outscored by Katie by 13 or more points if she wins to clinch the #2 seed
Another outstanding expansion team. He has the #1 D/ST and Kicker, it's nice to get a guaranteed 20 points from those two positions every week. He's pointed out to me that he's a streaky team. He's won three in a row twice and loss two in a row twice. Each time he has lost it's come as a part a part of a pair. Good news for Rachael, he lost last week.

Katie's Schfifty-Fivers (Katie) 7-5 Clinched playoff spot, need a win and a Rachael loss and outscore Tim by 12 or more points to clinch the #2 seed
Katie has struggled as of late, losing four of her last six games. One of the games she won in those six games was won over Tim by a lackluster score of 49-48. She has five players in the top ten at their positon and Brett Favre, who is the ultimate wildcard. She has Dave this week, who needs to win.

Georgetown RVers (George) 6-5-1 Can clinch a playoff spot with a win OR a loss and a loss by two of the following: Ryan, Dave, Brad and Jay
Another streaky team, wins in pairs and losses in pairs. Looks to take down Alex and start a new trend of winning after losing the last couple of games. Probably has one of the scarier teams to play with Peyton Manning, Ronnie Brown and Adrian Peterson. I think he's the darkhorse this year to repeat at champs.

A New Viser (Ryan) 6-6 Can clinch with a win OR a loss and a loss by two of the following: Dave, Brad and Jay
What a bipolar team as of late? He scored 118 points last week and 26 the week before. Yes, 26! I like the resurrections of Romo, Leon Washington and Colston to guide this team deep into the playoffs.

Strongbadia JediFury (Dave) 6-6 Can clinch with a win OR a loss and a loss by two of the following: Ryan, Brad and Jay
I think I'd like to write a book and call it: "Living and Dying With Kurt Warner: The Story Of The JediFury's 2008 Season". Win and in, Dave.

B Rad's Malibu Playmakers (Brad) 6-6 Can clinch with a win OR a loss and a loss by two of the following: Ryan, Dave and Jay
A solid team, but hasn't really caught fire once this season. A scary combo of Rodgers and Boldin, who've both been money all year long. Another win and in.

Maize 'n' Blue Jays (Jay) 5-6-1 Can Clinch with a win and a loss by one of the following: George, Ryan, Dave, and Brad
After losing 5 of my first 6 games and Tom, I've won or tied 5 of my last 6. "The Tale Of Two Seasons: The Story Of Getting By Without Tom Brady" would by my book. Don't stop now Cassel! Win and probably in!

Sorry, Justin. I watched on Monday as Drew Brees killed your hopes of a postseason. Apparently he still likes to sling potato salad.
